Welcome! This is site of viiigine project - open source Final Fantasy 8 engine. We're only started to explore FF8 and develop the engine, but we have a good chanse to finish it by releasing something similar to FFVIII Game SDK. :)

We didn't post news and updates to repostory but project is in active phase of development. I think we'll publish first playable demo at the end of year.

Commit contains new utility for AFS processing and some architecture improvements.

Utils contain only lzs unpaker yet. We hope next (and first full-weight) release of viiigine utils will be done soon.
